Paranormal Blog Tour 2017 Day 3

pararombanner2017secondGreetings and welcome back to the Paranormal Blog Tour. Hopefully, you’ve been enjoying the author interviews and book reviews all tied together with this blog tour. Up today is the interview with the featured author S. A. Soule.

Sherry Soule lives with her family and a black rescue cat in Northern California. She writes romantic Sci-Fi and paranormal romance set in fictional worlds featuring snarky heroines and swoon-worthy alpha males. Many of her books have been on the Kindle bestseller lists and were nominated as top picks in the “Best Paranormal Romance” categories on numerous review sites.

I had a chance to talk with Sherry about some Halloween memories, her favorite paranormal characters to create, and what she is working on now.

S.A. Soule is the author of the book Immortal Eclipse.

1)   What is your favorite Halloween think to do?

My favorite thing to do is just stay at home with a bowl of popcorn and watch scary movies with my kids all night, while passing out candy.

Usually, we try to find a local haunted house to walk through for the thrills and chills, but this year we’ve actually moved into a real-life haunted house. Yup, I write about the supernatural and now I’m actually living it. We’ve contacted local paranormal investigators to come by this week and see if they can help us with our ghostly resident.

2)   Who is your favorite paranormal author and how did they influence you?

I don’t really have just one, but I guess it would be Joss Whedon and the late, V. C. Andrews.

Mr. Whedon is a creative genius who can combine suspense, drama, and comedy in all of his tales.

And the real Virginia Andrews was a huge inspiration to me as a teenager and young writer. I loved her style and unique storytelling abilities.

Whenever anyone asks me, Who would you like to meet dead or alive? I always say, V. C. Andrews!

Currently, Kresley Cole’s “Arcana Chronicles” is my favorite YA paranormal series.

3)   Do you have a writing routine? Share what works for you.

I’m not much of a morning person, so I do most of my writing in the afternoon and evening while listening to music with binaural beats.

4)   What paranormal creatures or subjects would you like to write about?

Vampires have always been a favorite of mine even though I know they’re getting done to death. I have a zombie trilogy that I want to write next year about 2 sisters trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.

5)   What is writing to you in one sentence?

Sharing awesome adventures with fellow booklovers and my brand of storytelling.

6)   What projects are you working on right now?

I am totally rewriting and rebranding an older series, which was inspired by the Buffy, the Vampire Slayer series and it has been a lot of hard work, but also fun.

Sherry Soule’s featured book is Immortal Eclipse.

Inheriting a haunted house is one thing. Getting hot and bothered by its sexy caretaker is another. But Skylar Blackwell draws the line at voodoo and murder…

Skylar doesn’t believe in things that go bump in the night. But after her uncle’s body is discovered with a mosaic of eerie symbols carved into his chest, she moves to his spooky California estate to get logical answers.

Days after arriving, she’s plagued by haunting nightmares and visits by a terrifying apparition that even she can’t rationally explain away. Things get even more complicated when Skylar’s investigation leads her straight into the arms of the drop-dead gorgeous, Dorian Delacroix. With his dark good looks and brooding personality, Dorian is like a romance novel hero come to life, but he’s also harboring a dark and dangerous secret.

One that may end up costing Skylar…her very soul.
